DR. JOSEPH M. STOWELL III
Advisory Board Chairman


Joe Stowell serves as Teaching Pastor at Harvest Bible Chapel in the northwest suburbs of Chicago. His first love is Jesus Christ and preaching His Word. An internationally recognized conference speaker, Joe has written numerous books including The Trouble with Jesus, Following Christ,Simply Jesus and You, and Radical Reliance.

Joe also works with RBC Ministries in Grand Rapids, Michigan, partnering in media productions.  His web-based ministry, Strength for the Journey (www.getmorestrength.org), features daily devotionals in audio, text and podcast formats, weekly messages and commentary, downloadable Bible study curriculum for individuals and small groups, and an audio library of his most requested messages.

Joe serves on the Board of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association. He is a graduate of Cedarville University and Dallas Theological Seminary and was honored with a doctor of divinity degree from The Master's College in 1987.  He served as the seventh president of The Moody Bible Institute from 1987-2005.

Joe and his wife Martie are the parents of three adult children and ten grandchildren. They make their home in suburban Chicago.


DR. BRIAN R. COFFEY

Brian Coffey has been in ministry for over 20 years and has served at First Baptist Church of Geneva, Illinois, since 1986, initially as Youth Pastor, and has served as Senior Pastor since 1994.  He is the author of four books including Splendor in the Ordinary, The Quick and Easy Guide to Bible Prophecy, and The Quick and Easy Guide: The Life of Jesus.  He also contributed in the TouchPoint Bible and The Rock Study Bible for teens (Josh McDowell Ministries).

Brian is a graduate from Ball State University and has a M.A. in Counseling; a M.Div from Northern Baptist Theological Seminary; and a D.Min from McCormick Theological Seminary.

Brian and his wife, Lorene, are the parents of four sons; Jordan, Jesse, Micah, and Canaan.  The Coffeys make their home in Batavia, Illinois

JAMES N. HALLENE

Jim Hallene is the founding principal of Capital Concepts, LLC, an opportunistic private equity investment and advisory firm based in Chicago.   Prior to Capital Concepts, Jim co-founded and ultimately sold a data consolidation company called MaxMiles. For fifteen years, he was employed at American National Bank, a subsidiary of Bank One Corporation, where he oversaw credit, cash management and technology business units during his tenure.  He currently sits on the boards of MB Financial Corporation, Olsen Engineering, L.P., DNJ Capital Leasing, and Resource Land Holdings.

Jim is a graduate of the University of Illinois and of Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School.  Jim and his wife, Suzanne, have four young children and reside in Hinsdale, Illinois.

ROGER W. SPOELMAN

Roger Spoelman
is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Mercy General Health Partners in Muskegon, Michigan.  Mercy General Health Partners is a result of a merger between Muskegon General Hospital and Muskegon Mercy Community Health Care System.  Mr. Spoelman was with Muskegon General Hospital since 1981 and served as President and CEO there from November 1987 until the merger in October 1998.

Roger is affiliated with numerous organizations including:  Muskegon Area Chamber of Commerce Board Chair, Alliance for Health Board Chair, United Way Board Member, Muskegon General Osteopathic Foundation Board member, Community Shores Bank, Open Doors USA Board Chair, International Aid Board Chair, and a member of the Munson Healthcare and Saint Mary’s Health care boards.   Roger also organized the Point Loma Nazarene University Parents’ League.

Throughout Roger’s career he has been awarded the Paul Harris Fellowship by Rotary International.  He has also received the Reese Award for Exemplary Services to the Community from the American Red Cross.  He was selected as an Emerging Leader in Healthcare by the Healthcare Forum.  Roger was named Muskegon’s Outstanding Young Man by the Jaycees and an Outstanding Young Michigander by the Michigan Jaycees.  His most recent award was his addition to Trinity University’s Alumni Wall of Honor this past October.

Roger received a B.A. degree from Trinity College.  He received his Master of Business Administration from California Coast University.

GREGORY W. WELCH

Gregory Welch currently serves as Spencer Stuart’s Global Practice leader for the Consumer Goods and Services group. Greg also continues to lead the Marketing Officer Practice which he helped to launch in 2002.  He joined the firm in 1998 following a successful career in sales and marketing.   In his last role prior to Spencer Stuart, Greg served as customer vice president for sales and integrated logistics at Nabisco Foods.  Additionally, he brings previous experience in classic brand management, field sales and trade marketing with Colgate-Palmolive, Bristol-Myers Squibb and Nestle Foods Corporation.

Prior to assuming his current practice leadership role, Greg led the firms 80 person Chicago office.  He also has served as a member of the firm’s nominations committee and was a recipient of the firm’s annual Lou Rieger quality award.  His personal areas of focus include consumer goods manufacturers, restaurants as well as a broad range of retailers.  Greg’s diverse client list includes companies like Wal-Mart, Hershey, Diageo, Starwood Hotels, Con-way Transportation, Yahoo!, Allstate, Pfizer and Novartis to name a few.

Greg has performed over 100 searches since joining the firm and is one of the world’s top performers in senior level marketing management assignments.  He is the co-founder of the M50 marketing group, has been featured on CNBC television, in The Wall Street Journal, BusinessWeek and is the creator of the highly acclaimed, annual “CMO Summit.”  Greg is a member of the Association of Executive Search Consultants, the American Marketing Association, as well as being an active board director of both Springboard, a non-profit that improves the lives of inner city youths.

Greg holds a Bachelor’s degree from Indiana University and completed the Cornell Food Executive Program.  Greg and his wife Sandy reside in Winnetka, IL with their four children.
